We need a new definition for ‘human’.

History of ‘humans’. Where does it begin?

First let’s get the scope of the definition. Sapiens, monkeys, intelligent animals, highly intelligent money makers and a million things more come under the definition of humans. It was not always so. It just the last couple of hundred years that blew up the exponential advancement and effectively the ego of this species. To be called a human, to be admitted into this coterie, it is an honour…or it was a few centuries back. Now the intelligent of this species don’t think much of us and the fools use ‘great’ in front of everything they accomplish.

The way we have evolved over time and still hanging out with the old definitions of ‘human’ is not apt anymore. We drink and say its socialising. No. We are just monkeys getting drunk on purified drugs. We hurt those dear to us and call it love. No, we are just unconscious assholes. We make money in billions and trillions and have a will o wisp lifespan and call it entrepreneurship. Nope, we are just idiots with skills missing the forest for the trees. Take my old man for example. He is seventy and keeps an ugly young mistress to mask his age. I mean do we even know the value of a ‘lifetime’ let alone the meaning of one. Our collective stupidity will reveal starkly when we are heaving our last breath and finding out our bank balance is infinitesimally lacking in front of ‘life’. The real satisfaction of a lived life will be our grand daughter holding our wrinkled palms. Peace is other humans loving us more for the man they knew than the real estate we leave behind.
